Day 19 - Wed 29th June

Weather - Vienna, hot. Prague - warm, pleasant, mid 20's.

Packed, took the Underground and then some walking (Packs not getting any lighter) to pick up the car (world's worst coffee on the way). We were upgraded to a great new Astra with A/C and Cruise control (yay!)

Headed from Vienna in peak-hour traffic towards the Czech Republic an Prague. (An amazing shopping complex/theme park just over the border - Excalibur world - defies explanation so I won't even try, but how an ex-soviet Aeroflot aircraft fits in with tales of Arthur and dragons I don't pretend to understand!)

Cory was very excited driving on the autobahns at !40km+, but was quite miffed to be overtaken by a Daewoo Karlos and a Citroen Berlingo (yes... the little van-thing). Still, 130km was the actual limit so we didn't want to push it.

Prague is not pleasant to drive in, and consequently it was quite perplexing to find our destination. All of the sudoku puzzles which Nai has been obsessing over while waiting for planes/trains/whatever must have helped as after a few quick detours we arrive at the Crown and Bard. Quite a cool hostel, but not as cool as the parking. The Astra took a 2 floor ride in an elevator to get to its spot.

We then walked (15 min) down into the centre of the 'Old Town' and grabbed a spot in a bike-tour of Prague. This was your usual find out about various spots and building type of tour, but via bike and with a beer about half-way. GREAT! Then a meal (traditional Bohemian fare, with a few more beers of course!) and back to the hostel.

And, I must say, that under NO circumstances should any US brew ever be dubbed 'Budweiser'. There is only, one, and boy is it good!
