Day 17 - Monday June 27th

Dublin - would have been quite a warm day. Vienna - HOT! About 30.

Awoke to see some bodies had been dumped upon the steps of the funeral home opposite. Gotta love Dublin! That, and the chroming boy (girl?) on the way home last night lived up to images from novels I'd read. Unfortunately, the bodies woke up and grabbed breakfast from the Spar up the road - quite ironic they chose the steps of the Funeral Home to doss down on.

Took the bus to the airport and then off to Vienna.

Our packs felt heavier than ever has we walked around the Westbahnhof station looking for our hostel, successfully finding the longest possible route (short of via Tasmania). The hostel was in a typical Vienese building, with a large double door out the front that would have originally accommodated a horse and buggy, and then steps from this corridor leading up to the floors above. The room itself was in a flat-style arrangement, which we shared with three other rooms - with a kitchen, bathrooms, WCs etc. The 'hostel' probably had about 20 of these in the building.

We grabbed a bite to eat and headed off to bed.
