Day 7 - Friday 17th June

Weather - warm and sunny, high 20's

This morning we had a bit of a sleep in and spent the morning hanging around the house, playing with the kids and not doing much. Greta and Ab took the day off work so we were all just hanging out. After lunch we took the kids to Ab's mums place as she was looking after them for the night. We got to see a bit of the countryside around there which is very pretty and green. A lot of the houses look the same and everything is regulated. In some of the areas you can't even paint your fence without approval.

After we had dropped off the kids we went to the factory outlets and did a bit of shopping - there were so many shops and most of them had some good stuff. We got a couple of bargains and headed home to get changed.

We went in to DC for dinner and ended up going to a Japanese restaurant that did karaoke as well - Carole & Matt would love this place! The food was really good and I had the BEST seaweed salad I have ever tasted. We did a bit of watching and listening and then decided that we had had enough to drink that we could attempt the karaoke ourselves. There were some woeful performances so we knew we wouldn't be the worst! After a few songs we headed off to one of the smallest live venues I have ever seen - unfortunately though we missed the band, so ended up just going home.
