Day 5 - Wednesday 15th

After a very good sleep on a very full belly - way too much dairy - Jenn drove us to the airport. We had to fly via Chicago to get to Washington DC. We made it ok to Chicago but on arrival found that our flight had been delayed by 45 min. So we hung around looking at the crappy airport shops until we boarded. Nai was still pretty tired and had another nap on the plane, falling asleep so quickly that she missed the take off.

We were about half an hour late into DC which was good as Greta got lost in the carpark and was late coming to meet us so that meant that we got there at aout the same time. It was so good seeing her again - we recognised each other immediately and there was much screaming and hugging. I had a bad feeling about the bags as Cory stood waiting for about half an hour so decided to check at the baggage place. My gut feeling was accurate and they hadn't made it onto our flight. The airline said they would courier to us so we gave our details and left.

We went back to Greta's place (her sense of direction in the carpark was indicative - as we took an unplanned scenic route home) and had a drink and some catching up then went to pick up her kids from childcare. It was great to meet them at last and they are very cute kids. We did some grocery shopping and just chilled out at Greta's until her husband Ab got home. By 11.30pm our bags still hadn't arrived so we rang again and they said they would call us back, which they did - at 1.30 am!!!! The bags finally turned up at 3:20am - Not Happy!!!
